Ankit Fadia – Legal Computer Hacker

Ankit Fadia is one of the best computer hacker in the world. Ankit Fadia was born in Coimbator, TamilNadu, India. Fadia is currently pursuing his Bachelors in Computer Science with specialization in Information Security at Stanford University, USA. Recently Fadia started his own computer security consulting and training company in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Ankit went to Delhi Public School, R K Puram for school. He started a website called “HackingTruths”, which he claims was judged as the “second best hacking site in the world by the FBI”. He claims that when he was 14, he trashed the front page of an Indian magazine’s website. He then sent an e-mail to the editor confessing to the hack, suggesting counter measures. At 15, his book on Ethical Hacking made him the youngest author to be published by Macmillan India.[4] Many publications wrongly reported that Fadia is associated with FBI or CIA, however, he himself denied this. Fadia has also sponsored Singapore Management University’s “Ankit Fadia Information Security Award”, which consisted of a $500 cash prize and Certificate and was given for two years to “an outstanding student” in the Information Security and Trust Course under the Bachelor of Science (Information System Management) degree. Fadia is also a widely recognized computer security guru and Cyber terrorism expert. He has also led several investigations pertaining to national security and cyber terrorism. In November 2001, Fadia was consulted by a classified intelligence agency for breaking an encrypted message sent by one of Osama Bin Laden’s men. Since then Fadia has been involved in numerous classified projects pertaining to cyber terrorism and crime. In August 2008, Fadia was consulted by the Navi Mumbai Police Department to trace the terror email sent just a few minutes before the Gujarat serial blasts. Fadia was also consulted by the Mumbai Police for decoding VOIP messages in relation to the Mumbai terror attacks.

Widely celebrated in international media publications, Fadia is also regularly invited by BBC Radio World News, London to share the latest updates on virus outbreaks, loopholes and cyber crime trends. For his outstanding contributions in the field of computer security globally, Fadia has been honored with numerous awards namely: MTV Youth Icon 2008, Indo-American Society Young Achiever Award 2005, IT Leader Award 2005, Person of The Year 2002, Limca Book of Records, Hall of Fame Award, Outstanding Young Achiever’s Award, Silicon India Person of the Week, Embassy State Award, Best Speaker Award (4 occasions) and many more.
